Links to other teacher's JFMF web sites

Travis Haselswerdt inspired me to create a travelogue of my experience after viewing his site.  Here's his JFMF blurb, containing the link:
Travis Haselswerdt (October 2004 participant):
Travis, a Social Studies teacher from Westlake High School (OH), has created a website for his JFMF Follow-on Final Project. The site includes entertaining day-by-day descriptions of his JFMF experience as well as additional information about Japanese education, government and society. Incoming participants are encouraged to read Travis’ notes on what to bring and what not to bring to Japan.

Kenneth Jantz has some great photos on this site.  (I had his photo of carp on my desktop for 5 months prior to going to Japan.) Here's his JFMF blurb:
Kenneth Jantz (November 2004 participant):
Recommended!! Middle School Principal Kenneth Jantz (KS) has created an extensive web site as part of his follow-on project. The site includes short essays on Japanese culture, food and sports by students as well as Ken's own summaries, video footage and photos of Japan. His sushi video should not be missed!

Bob Wilson is an elementary art teacher from Massachusetts who was in my group of 19 travelers that journeyed to Ito City, which is on the Izu Peninsula and in the Shizuoka Province.  He has many more photographs and presents a different viewpoint of our shared experience.  You can view his website at the following link:

Sandra Rivas-Cole is a high school art teacher from Orlando, Florida  who created a blog during her experience, recorded many interesting observations about Japan and the culture and joined me in our only "day off" in an adventure into the land of "DisneySea" as well as a quick stop into "the house of the mouse".  When you check her blog, the June 17 link on the lower left will take you to her version of our shared experience.  Her website can be viewed here:

Robert F. Ponzio ("the Ponz") is the  Fine Arts Dept. Chair in Gainsville Florida and has an incredible site that includes the photographs, collages   and sketches he created in his personal "scrapbook"  during his 2003 visit.  Here's his link:
